Solar Thermal Systems (Solar Water Heating)

Novan installs the highest quality flat-plate and evacuated tube solar collectors to heat water for all domestic, commercial, and industrial applications which include:

Industrial hot water applications

We use collectors manufactured by SunEarth for our flat plate thermal applications. Novan is the distributor in the Colorado region for these highly efficient, SRCC-certified collectors.

Flat plate collectors are stocked in common sizes for immediate delivery
Our evacuated tube solar collectors are the best in the business and are appropriate for all high temperature commercial applications
We also stock a full range of system components, including pumps, controllers, propylene glycol, insulation, etc. for retail purchase.

Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Systems

A photovoltaic (“PV”) system is simply an appliance that converts sunlight into electricity
Novan installs only the highest quality PV panels (collectors) and other “body-of-system components” such as inverters and mounting hardware. Novan has monitoring systems so that you can see how much your system is producing on your home computer

Solar System Design, Maintenance and Repair:

Novan services new and existing systems. We will work with your manufacturer to complete any troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair on any solar system.

What Financing and Incentives Are Available?

Whether you’re using the sun to heat water or produce electricity, you’re making money from day one!

• 30% federal tax credit for both heating and PV systems (unlimited for commercial; up to $2,000 for residential)
• 60% Xcel Energy PV (photovoltaic) rebate ($4.50/Watt installed)

What About Third-Party Arrangements?

• A third party energy provider finances the cost of the installation of your solar system on your property at zero cost to you
• They then sell you the electricity or heat produced from the system at a fixed rate for a period of time agreed upon by both parties (usually 10 to 15 years)
• At the end of your contract, you will have the option to renew or purchase the system at a nominal cost and enjoy free electricity and/or heat for decades to come
