Novan is a leader in the design and installation of large-scale flat plate solar thermal and PV (photovoltaic) collector systems for industrial and commercial applications. For high-temperature hot water applications, Novan offers evacuated tube collectors that are the best in the business. Our in-house engineering and installation staff provides a single source capability for solar systems to provide space heating, hot water, and electricity for all residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

We build standard and custom hot water storage tanks in sizes from 80 to more than 10,000 gallons. Our solar storage tanks are the industry’s longest-lasting and most customizable heat storage solution. This, together with the pre-fabrication of many system components in our manufacturing facility, helps us significantly reduce costs.

We use collectors manufactured by SunEarth for our flat plate thermal applications. Novan is the regional distributor for these highly efficient, SRCC-certified collectors. We stock common collector sizes for immediate delivery at competitive prices. We also stock a full range of system components, including pumps, controllers, propylene glycol, insulation, etc. for retail purchase. Novan services all brands of existing solar systems and has the technical resources to tackle the most complex systems.

Our solar systems are operating in Colorado, California, Arizona and Texas, and in countries overseas. Recent projects include the North Boulder Recreation Center and two Veterans’ Administration Hospitals in Texas. These systems are the largest flat plate solar systems to be installed in the US in over 20 years.
